Barista/Tea Shop Asst. Manager

Position Summary:

The Barista/Tea Shop Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of Mystic Valley Farm Tea Shop. This includes preparing beverages, managing staff, providing exceptional customer service, surpassing sales goals and ensuring a welcoming environment for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of tea based beverages to customers.

• Manage daily operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and cash handling.

• Train and supervise baristas and other shop staff to maintain high service standards.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations.

• Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns.

• Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the tea shop.

• Assist in marketing efforts, including promoting new products and events.

• Motivate team to exceed sales goals.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience as a barista or in a supervisory role in a café or tea shop.

• Strong knowledge of herbs, tea and tea preparation techniques helpful, but not required.

• Oregon Food Handlers License required.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to manage a team and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Tea and Beverage Production Assistant Manager

Position Summary:

The Tea and Beverage Production Assistant supports the Production Manager in all aspects of tea and beverage production, including preparation, blending, packaging, and maintaining cleanliness in the production area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation, blending, and packaging of teas, beverages and syrups.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the production area.

• Support inventory management by restocking supplies and finished products.

• Follow instructions and protocols to ensure product quality.

• Assist the Production Manager with daily tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in food or beverage production is preferred.

• Oregon Food Handlers License required.

• Ability to work efficiently, follow instructions and work independently.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
